Getting in line at the checkout....

I don't know about you, but it NEVER fails that no matter which lane I choose I get in the one that takes the longest to check out.  I can get in the lane with nobody in it and it still takes me the longest.  I can go through self-check and something decides to break, I mean really - why does this always happen?  It seems to happen EVERY time at the grocery store.

Heck, I've even tried to use psychology on the lane I pick.  I'll choose a lane, then they'll open a new lane but I stay where I am because I know I won't get out any earlier if I go to the other lane and I don't want to hurt my lane's feelings.  But, as sure as I stand there, I watch 10 people go through the other lane.  Seriously, do I have a sign on me that says, "longest lane only - show me the longest lane!"

I am also the person that gets behind the people that pick up something with no price, or the wrong brand, or find that they left their money in the CAR!  Who does that?  Ridiculous - surely people check before they get out of the car.  Is it only me - don't you check to see if you have money before going in a store that you KNOW you are going to buy something in?  THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!

All I can say is thank goodness WalMart opened more lanes this week - I'd have to start taking a sleeping bag with me for checkout!
